INDIVIDUAL-PSYCHOLOGICAL DETERMINANTS OF ENVY

Beskova T.V
According to the author’s social-psychological concept based on the system-relational approach, envy is considered as the system of person’s relations to the various sides of objective reality (to the subjects of the superiority of Another person, the superior objects, to himself as to the subject of envy) which formation is caused by the complex influence of multi ordinal determinants. Internal determinants of envy are presented by the level of ontogenetic development of the personality and difficult configuration of multi ordinal psychological properties of the person. The article presents the results of the complex empirical research directed to the detection of features and nature of influence of individual-psychological properties (temperament and character) on the formation of envy. It is shown that there are separate individual-psychological preconditions of envy – emotional instability (lability), irritability, instability (excitability), neuroticism, low level of emotional sensitivity, increasing the probability of its formation in the presence of the complex of other internal conditions.
