CORRELATION BETWEEN SPQ SCALES WITH PERSONALITY FEATURES AND EEG DATA IN HEALTHY SUBJECTS

In the cohort of 198 healthy respondents studied with the Schizotypal Personality Questionnaire (SPQ) 15 % showed high scores and 3% super high scores which allowed to consider them high-risk for schizotypal disorder development. Significant correlation between the total SPQ score and results of psychological tests, as well as the total SPQ score and quantitative EEG parameters, was found in two independent groups within the cohort. Scores for animosity, suspicion, resentment, anxiety and neuroticism positively correlate with the total SPQ score in both groups. EEG data supports the common pathophysiological pattern for the set of schizotypal symptoms manifested in lower theta spectral power and higher beta spectral power. This may be indicative of the inhibition - excitation imbalance in the brain.
