PSYCHOLOGY SUBJECT AS OBJECT OF ORDINARY KNOWLEDGE

The mental reality is inaccessible to sense perception that explains numerous subjective approaches to the mental phenomena. «Subjective» direction of research of a subject in psychology is focused on studying «everyday» psychological concepts which the subject can have. Definition of a subject in ordinary consciousness is the problem that can be solved when answering the question “how the psychology target is presented in consciousness of the subject?” The article reviews the research executed in the frameworks of a «subject» paradigm. The researchers reconstruct a subject (mental) reality, existing in subject’s consciousness in the forms of psychological terms. The analysis confirms the fact that ordinary representations about mentality prevail in consciousness of examinees. These representations characterized by weak structure, fixedness, fragmentariness, discrepancy, which reside the level of preconceptual consciousness, appear to be rather constant and steady. Thus, we conclude that examinees show universal, typical and individual semantic features of thinking discussing mental reality.
